About this app
Octave is a quiet little instrument disguised as a puzzle. Four by four tiles, seven notes, one simple rule: matching notes merge into the next step of the scale. Each merge is synthesized live through the Web Audio API — clean sine tones with a hint of hall reverb — so the board slowly composes itself as you play. Complete a full octave and the room blooms into a brief arpeggio cascade, then the difficulty climbs a register. There is no timer, no ads, no network. Just a small, glowing board, a warm brass palette, and the pleasure of making something that sounds beautiful by accident.
